How to Import Toyota Sienna from China to CIS Countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan & Russia Logistics Guide)
Truck, rail or sea? The main border crossings, the documents you need and the certification rules to check for Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia.
Short answer: most Siennas reach Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan overland — by car-carrier truck or rail — while Russia is served overland via Kazakhstan, through direct border crossings, or by sea to Vladivostok. Before choosing a route, confirm the certification and customs rules in your country.

What certification applies in the EAEU?
Russia, Kazakhstan and Armenia are members of the Eurasian Economic Union. Wheeled vehicles must comply with technical regulation TR CU 018/2011 "On the safety of wheeled vehicles" and are registered with an electronic vehicle passport. What about Uzbekistan?
Uzbekistan is not an EAEU member. Imported vehicles pay customs duty, excise and VAT and must pass national certification; rules can depend on engine size and vehicle age. Check with the State Customs Committee before ordering — especially for used cars.
Which documents will you need?

- Transport document — CMR for road, railway bill for rail, or bill of lading for sea
- Certificate of origin, when required by the destination
